Love-struck
Start by speaking to Dororan, a dwarf sitting on the eastern edge of the Barbarian Village. He will start saying a poem out loud, but gets stuck. Choose an option to help him out.
He'll ask if you're a poet, reply and then try to guess what is wrong with him. He will explain about his love for a fair maiden in the village. He doesn't believe that the village's customs would show him kindness.
He wants a ring made of the purest gold in order to show his artistry skills and worth to his love. He suggests going to speak to Jeffery, the metalsmith in Edgeville. He will give you one of his poems to trade Jeffery for a gold ring.
A Ring of Love
Find Jeffery in the small square building just outside the Northeast side of the Edgeville bank in the town north of the Barbarian Village. Ask him about a gold ring, and trading him for a gold ring in exchange for a splendid love poem.
He'll recognize it's from the dwarf, but agrees to give you a ring anyway. Just ask for just a plain gold ring. Return to Dororan with the ring. He will ask you to engrave something in it for him. He'll give you something to engrave, though ask how to engrave it. He'll tell you to use a chisel; ask him for one.
Use the chisel on the Ring from Jeffery to engrave it. Show him the ring after you engrave it, and he'll ask for one more favour: to deliver the ring to Gudrun for him.
Gudrun
Talk to Gudrun, located in the center of the Barbarian Village. She will be in an argument with Kjell. Give her the ring, and explain it's not from you. Tell her it's from a great poet. She explains the problem that her father is the Chieftain of the village, and fears that he will not let an outlander pursue her.
Offer to talk to her Father, Chieftain Gunthor, he is in the Longhall on the north side of the village. He does not take kindly to the idea, but be persistent. He still refuses. Return to Gudrun, and she will suggest seeing if "the poet" has any ideas. Return to Dororan.
A Poem of Epic Proportions
He will attempt to create a poem, but doesn't have much luck. He will ask for word ideas to help him get started. Choose the following words (remember, click the More Words option if you don't see that choice on the list):
- Barbarian
- Roam
- Stray
- Longsword
- Peril
- Threat
- Went for a walk
- Swept to war
His poem will be completed then. He suggests having Gudrun read it to her father.
Gunnar's Ground

Bring the Poem to Gudrun, and she'll take it to read to her father. You and Dororan will listen behind the door; keep reassuring him everything will go ok. They will exit the hall and make an announcement to the town.
They will announce that they will finally settle on this land and make it a village rather than a camp. Gudrun will find out that Dororan is the mystery poet, and falls in love with him.

The tribe's tradition is to give the poet a house, so Dororan's new house is east, across the river, on the road to Varrock. They will head to their new house.
