Forgettable Tale of a Drunken Dwarf is part 2 in the Rise of the Red Axe series, focusing on the dwarves and their capital city of Keldagrim. After the events in The Giant Dwarf, the Red Axe Mining Company has departed the city and set up a new headquarters in a remote underground location.
Veldaban, the Commander of the Black Guard in Keldagrim, wants you to investigate the case and find out if the Red Axe is planning anything nefarious. The problem is, the only lead he's got is an extremely drunken and kebab-obsessed dwarf.
Use your Farming and brewing abilities to your advantage, then prepare to be perplexed by puzzles as you follow the trail to the Red Axe...

Starting the quest


Commander Veldaban is located in the building west of the Keldagrim bank.
It turns out the Red Axe organization has left the Trade Consortium and are probably up to no good. It's your job to investigate. There is a drunken dwarf in northeast Keldagrim who may have some information. Upon accepting the quest, you'll be teleported to the Drunken Dwarf's house.
Talk to the Drunken Dwarf about the Red Axe.
Of course, you'll need to give him a beer before he'll talk but the beer you have isn't good enough for him. He wants a Kelda Stout which is made from hops grown using Kelda seeds. The dwarf will give you one Kelda seed and tells you to find three of his buddies whom have the other seeds.

Collecting Kelda seeds


Wandering outside the Keldagrim east pub is a Rowdy Dwarf who has one Kelda seed.
As a trade, he'll ask for a random but cheap item. I was asked to get a Potato. Give him the item he desires and you'll get the second of four Kelda seeds.
Go to the pub located in west Keldagrim to find Gauss.
Have a Beer with Gauss and he'll give you another Kelda seed.
The fourth seed is given to you by Khorvak, a dwarven engineer underneath White Wolf Mountain.
Talk to the Cart Conductor in southeast Keldagrim and take a free ride to White Wolf Mountain. In the underground pub, you'll find Khorvak whom will part with the last Kelda seed for a Dwarven Stout. Grab one from a nearby table and persuade Khorvak to trade the Kelda seed. Now ride the mine cart back to Keldagrim.

Brewing Kelda Stout


East of the Keldagrim Bank is a Kelda hops patch where you'll plant the Kelda seeds. The patch doesn't need compost nor watering. Before planting the seeds, you'll need to ask Rind the gardener for permission.

The hops grow in about 20 minutes, but there is an optional task you can do to pass time. Rind will ask you to deliver a Letter to Elstan at the allotment patch south of Falador.
Afterward, return to Rind the gardener for a reward of 2 Marrentill seeds.
Once the Kelda hops have grown, you'll get a game message informing you to check up on them. Harvest the Kelda hops and head upstairs in the east Keldagrim pub. Grab an Empty pot from the table, then talk to Blandebir to purchase ale yeast for 25 coins.
It will automatically be put inside the pot. Nearby is a Fermenting Vat which is where you'll brew the Kelda stout. Fill the vat with 2 Buckets of water, 2 Barley malts, Kelda hops, and the Ale yeast last. After about 15 minutes, you'll get a game message letting you know the brew has finished fermenting. Turn the valve on the vat and then use a Beer glass on the barrel to pour a Kelda stout.

Mine Carts


Now that you finally got the ale the Drunken Dwarf desires, head back over to his house and give it to him. After a very long story in which the screen fades out a few times, he'll tell you about a tunnel south of the mine carts. Talk to the Cart conductor closest to the boarded-up tunnel and ask him to open up the tunnel again.
He'll tell you to talk to someone influential. The most influential person in Keldagrim is the trade director whom helped you in the Giant Dwarf quest. If you can't remember, talk to each of the eight directors in the trade consortium until you find the right one.
Ask for the boarded tunnel to be reopened and then ride a cart inside. You'll need both of your hands free before riding.
At the end of the ride, you'll come to a platform that has some machinery and a box. You'll find two square stones; one green and one yellow. Now use the Dwarven machinery for a puzzle. You're going to use the stones at the junction points to match the picture below.

Ride the cart again to come to another platform. Once again, search the box and find a green stone. Ride the cart back to the first platform, and set the machine to the following picture.

Ride the cart to the third platform, search the box for a second yellow stone, and ride the cart back to the first platform. Insert the stones into the machinery as shown below.

Instead of going to the fourth platform, you'll instead travel to the hideout of the Red Axe organization. Listen in on the conversation and then sneak around to the east of the cave and travel through it. You have three cart rides to take. Perform the same steps as above to gather stones and follow the next three puzzles.

After the sixth mine cart puzzle, you'll end up in what appears to be an underground library. There are bookshelves and crates around the whole cave. On three of the crates are letters. Read each of the letters.
One of the bookshelves has employee records for the Red Axe organization, so read that too. Once you're done, follow the cave to another chasm with three more mine cart puzzles. Do them just as you have in the past.

Forgettable Tale


After the final mine cart puzzle, you'll come to a cave where the Red Axe are experimenting on Chaos Dwarves. The Ogre shaman Grunsh will catch you spying and cast a spell on you. When you wake up, you'll be near the mine carts in Keldagrim and won't remember anything about the Red Axe organization. Return to Commander Veldaban in west Keldagrim and tell him what you know about the Red Axe. Because of your lapse in memory, you'll instead crave for a Kebab and Beer. Head over to the Keldagrim east pub and consume one of these tasty treats while the other is in your inventory.
After the cut-scene concludes, so will the quest.
