A number of restored texts have been made available in the Seers' Village chapel, and one stands apart from the others. In a book embossed with a curious attern, the story of Vitruvius is continued, as he attempts to bring his assistant to life using the mysterious properties of the 'body'.

There are lessons to be learned from this new book, as you put Vitruvius's theories into practice again in the Elemental Workshop. Only those with the ability to unravel the most devious puzzles may, perhaps, be able to unlock the workshop's latest secret...

Starting Out

Head to the chapel in the southwest corner of Seers' Village. Search the bookshelves to find a Ragged book. Read the ragged book to find out about Vitruvius' attempt to revive his assistant from the dead.

Now, use your soft clay on the book to create a key mould. Head to the elemental workshop, the building directly west of the bank, and use your battered key on the wall that looks to have a crack with it to gain access to the workshop. Head downstairs.

Into the Workshop

Head into the workshop, and to the west room. Attempt to mine three Elemental rocks. Earth Elementals (level 35) will pop out of the ground. Kill them, and pick up the elemental ores they drop.

Now, head into the room to the south, and use the elemental ore and your coal on the furnace to make three elemental metal bars. Use one of those bars on the furnace with the key mould in your inventory to make a Ragged elemental key. You're now ready to go to the next floor, so head down the stairs.

Priming the Bars

Once you're downstairs, place one of your elemental bars on the jig cart. Pull the lever that's one square to your west twice to raise the bar up, then pull the east lever to position the bar over the lava. Pull the west lever twice again to dip the bar in the lava, and then pull the east lever again to return it to the jig cart. Pull the west lever twice again to finally drop the bar on the jig cart again.

Now, head directly north three steps to the boxed-in lever. Pull that lever once to move the cart to the next area. Walk northwest three steps to the lever, and pull it to flatten the bar. Head back to the boxed-in lever and pull it again to move the cart to the next area.

Walk to the north side of the room to where the bar is. Pull the lever, then turn the corkscrew lever twice, then pull the lever again to lock the bar in the tank. Turn the west water valve on to fill the tank with water, then turn it back off. Walk east to the other water valve, and open it to drain the tank, and finally close it again. Open the tank and remove the bar, by pulling the lever, turning the corkscrew lever twice, and pulling the lever again.

Pull the boxed-in lever again to move the cart to the final station. Head to the east of the room and pull the lever to turn on the fan. Once the fan has started, turn it back off, and finally, go back to the boxed in lever to return the bar to the starting position. You can now take your primed bar from the jig.

Repeat this process with your second bar. Once complete, head down the stairs, and follow the hallway to the Body door. Use your ragged elemental key on the door to open it, and walk through.

Solving the Puzzle

Click here for a larger image.

The puzzle part of this quest is long. Your goal is to line gears from the moving gear (marked in purple in the above image) to the proper gear in order to unlock more of the puzzle. Please note that you can pull EITHER of each lever. There is a magnifying glass on the top left corner of your screen, if you use that, the camera angle is changed to show the whole room. This is the recommended angle for solving the puzzle.

Lowering the Two Layer Cog

The goal for this section is to create a line of cogs from the spinning cog (purple) to the cog on the right above the counter (red). This will lower the four blocks on the top right, including the blue circled cog. They will then become playable pieces on the board.

Once you have completed this list, the tower in the middle should fall. Pull the reset lever, and prepare to start on the next step of the puzzle.

Spinning the Center Tower

Finally! Almost there! To spin the center tower, you need the three layer cog on it's top side, and the two layer cogs on it's bottom, with any two one layer blocks on the other sides. All of these cogs need to be attached and spinning in order for the tower to spin.

  38. Pull lever F
  39. Pull lever 6

Congratulations! The tower is now spinning, and you're ready for the final step: raising the tower back up! DO NOT reset the puzzle anymore. If you do by accident, start over at the last step

Raising the Tower

This is the easiest step of the puzzle, and only requires a few seconds.

  1. Pull lever B
  2. Pull lever 4
  3. Pull lever C
  4. Pull lever 3

You've now raised the spinning tower into place! Now you can create a body bar!

Making a Body Bar

Head upstairs in this room to the small room in the center. Insert a primed bar into the slot to the left of the door, and walk into the door. Flip the lever and close the door, and push the button. Your defence will be lowered by 33, and the button will be stuck again. Flip the lever again to open the door and take your body bar!

You didn't think the quest was THAT easy, though, right? You have to make a SECOND body bar. So lets get back to that puzzle!

I bet I had you nervous there for a second! Don't worry, the puzzle doesn't reset, and it's really easy to charge the button again.

  1. Pull lever 5
  2. Pull lever 3
  3. Pull lever 4
  4. Pull lever B
  5. Pull lever C
  6. Pull lever 3

This resets the button, and you can now go back up and charge another body bar! Once you have your second bar, head all the way upstairs to the anvils, and use your body bars on the workbenches to make a body body. Congratulations, quest complete!
